VieScan is engineered from the ground up to respect your digital privacy.All document scanning, image enhancement, and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) operations take place entirely on your local device (in your browser or on your iOS device). Your scanned documents, images, and extracted text are never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect or store your scanned images.
• We do not collect or store text extracted via OCR.
• We do not require user registration, account creation, or personal identity details.
• We do not track your precise location.

3. Local Storage

On iOS, documents you save are stored locally in your app's sandboxed storage (`SwiftData`). On the web, documents are held temporarily in your browser's local memory (`IndexedDB` / Session state) and are not sent to any cloud server.

4. Website Analytics (Cloudflare)

Our website uses privacy-first Cloudflare Web Analytics to monitor aggregate site performance, page load times, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare Web Analytics operates without tracking cookies, does not collect personal identifiers, and is compliant with global privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA.

5. Advertising (Future Roadmap)

VieScan is a free utility. In future updates, non-intrusive advertisements may be shown via verified ad networks (such as Google AdMob on iOS or Google AdSense on Web). These ad networks may use randomized device identifiers in accordance with platform policies (e.g., Apple's App Tracking Transparency).
